Esports organization Beastcoast is pleased to announce Four Loko, the legendary line of flavored adult beverages, as its newest sponsor. This sponsorship will be the first step into the competitive gaming space by Four Loko and its parent company, Phusion Projects. Beastcoast is excited to have this brand, synonymous with good times and thrilling moments, as its first official adult beverage sponsor.

Four Loko will be front and center in a series of online “happy hours” via live streaming platform Twitch to bring together Beastcoast’s fans and the team’s roster of FGC professionals. These players represent such titles as Mortal Kombat 11, Dragon Ball FighterZ, the Super Smash Bros franchise, and more.

Togetherness is at the core of the FGC. Both Beastcoast and Four Loko hope to bring these players together virtually while real-life gatherings remain on hold. During these events, everyday players can face off against beastcoast’s seasoned pros and participate in giveaways of both Four Loko and Beastcoast merchandise. The first event will be held on Saturday, May 30th.

Steve “Lord Knight” Barthelemy, a Dragon Ball FighterZ player, shared his excitement regarding the sponsorship:

This new partnership with Four Loko means a lot to me. In the fighting game community, it is common for newer players to use “fake” partnership tags as a joke or as something they would aim for in the future. Four Loko was actually one of the original ones I used. “It’ll happen one day!” I used to say – and sure enough, it happened.

For me, Four Loko was there for the good times on the road, the disappointing losses, and the victory nights. I hope this partnership not only opens new doors for other players, but also new types of partnerships in the community. The fighting game community is not just about the games — it’s about the lifestyle as well.

Grant Zinn, CEO and founder of Beastcoast, said the following regarding the partnership:

This revolutionary partnership is a huge step forward for Beastcoast and for Phusion. From day one, Beastcoast has been all about bringing people together to have fun playing games. We can’t think of a better brand that embodies that value than Four Loko.
