Social Media Manager
Type: Full Time
Location: New York City
Beastcoast is a young but growing esports organization based in New York City. We are looking for an experienced team member who is passionate about video games to manage and run our social media and content strategies end to end with a vision of what the future of Beastcoast’s social media footprint will look like. This role reports directly to president and CEO. This position is full-time. Availability and willingness to work some holidays and most weekends is required to cover tournaments and other events.
What you will bring:

Excellent writing skills and strong visual eye
Always on top of the social trends and platform changes
Proven track record running and growing social media accounts
Extensive knowledge of mainstream social channels: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Reddit
Experience with SEO a plus
A passion for esports, competitive gaming and pop-culture

Duties and responsibilities
- Run all of beastcoast’s brand social accounts, leading to an increase in followers, community engagement etc.
- Help with live event coverage like tournaments and other competitions
- Collect and analyze social metrics to drive actionable next steps in fan base growth and engagement
- Establish and expand influencer and social community outreach
- Work closely with content team including video and design to drive brand engagement from concept to delivery
- Work closely with our sponsorship team to incorporate sponsored posts and branding organically into our content
- Create and execute meaningful content campaigns across social platforms
- Work directly with players, player managers, and other talent to ensure social campaigns are well executed
- Create social content for both our English and Spanish speaking audiences
- Generate creative new ideas for social media campaigns and announcements
Skills and Qualifications
- 2-3 Years social media management experience preferably in a related industry such as entertainment, technology or sports
- Must live in the New York Metropolitan area and be willing to commute into our Midtown Manhattan office.
- Spanish language fluency highly preferred
- Experience in Creative Suite (PremierPro, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) for editing or design is strongly preferred
- Esports knowledge and literacy encouraged but not required, but must be open to a deep dive into the esports industry and its culture
